About Valery

A personal view.
A broader perspective.

I’m Valery Chong, an interior architect based in Noordwijk. I design spaces around the people who use them.

My work brings together functionality, identity and atmosphere. With more than 25 years of experience in the Netherlands and the Caribbean, I draw on a background that spans residential, workplace, healthcare and childcare environments.

I studied interior architecture and fine arts at Rhode Island School of Design in the United States. That artistic foundation informs how I look at a space, while the practical demands of each project shape how it comes together.

My approach

Bring the interior into
the conversation early.

Interior and exterior influence each other. For a new home, I prefer to join when the architect begins designing, so the way you live can inform the building itself.

For a renovation or an unfinished property, involve me before decisions about kitchens, services and built-in furniture are fixed. Thoughtful design takes time, careful detailing and a realistic budget.

My practice includes interior design, consulting and project management for residential and office clients, as well as sales styling for property developers and real estate agents. We can discuss which support is right for your project.
